Salary/Position Classification
- $20.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 6-10 hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No

Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid professor with laboratory analysis of a sediment core along with correlated tasks in the laboratory
- Assist with research literature and writing tasks
- Complete information searches and database compilations
- Add data and check existing database entries
- Work with professor on sediment analysis in laboratory
- Proof read documents
- Organize research material
- Other research tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Chester Fritz databases, literature searches, and internet search engines
- Ability to work with minimal oversight
- Sediment analysis experience
- Available during normal work hours
- Undergraduate student
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Has successfully completed two or more Anthropology courses at UND
- Research Experience (laboratory and/or field experience)
- Graduating in Fall 2025 or later
