Undergrad Lab Researcher - Histology Core

Salary/Position Classification

• $18.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10-19 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

Looking for a willing and eager student to be help perform various histological techniques, such as; tissue processing, microtomy and staining as well as assisting staff in the Histology Core. On the job training will be offered.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

•  Prepare reagents for tissue processing and routine slide staining, under direct supervision Assist in lab up keep: inventory, clean and sterilize laboratory equipment, glassware and instruments - (Essential)

• Willingness to learn new techniques
• Able to work independently
• Organized and reliable

Minimum Requirements

• Lab knowledge or experience through work or experience
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
