About the Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a UI/UX Developer who will be responsible for designing and building visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web applications, with a strong focus on user experience principles, translating design mockups into functional, interactive components using React frameworks, while collaborating closely with designers to ensure optimal user flow and interaction across different devices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design Implementation: Translate UI/UX design mock-ups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive React components, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Component Development: Create reusable React components that are modular, maintainable, and optimized for performance across various screen sizes.
  • User Experience Focus: Incorporate UX best practices into UI development, considering user flows, accessibility, and usability to create intuitive interactions.
  • Front-End Development: Write clean, well-structured code using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build interactive user interfaces.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to align UI development with overall product vision and requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical discipline required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years working experience as a UI/UX Engineer required.
  • Relevant experience in the Healthcare industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Typescript, React, TailwindCSS, Docker, Jest, NestJS, Typeorm, PostgreSQL, and Payload CMS (all 9) required.
  • Proficient in React: deep understanding of React concepts like components, state management, props, lifecycle methods, and hooks.
  • Proficient in Front-End Technologies: expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including advanced CSS techniques like flexbox and grid layout.
  • Strong knowledge of UX Design Principles: knowledge of user experience design principles like information architecture, user flows, and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with Design Tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to interpret design specifications
  • Performance Optimization: ability to optimize React applications for speed and responsiveness across different devices.
  • Experience with software system management.

Other requirements

  • Testing Frameworks: experience with unit testing libraries like Jest and React Testing Library.
  • State Management Libraries: familiarity with Redux or other state management solutions.
  • Responsive Design: expertise in building responsive interfaces that adapt to different screen sizes and devices.
  • Accessibility: understanding of web accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and how to implement inclusive design principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals.


Compensation & Benefits 


The anticipated salary range for candidates is $96,000/year to up to $125,500/year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 9% of annual salary. 


Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave. The foregoing benefits and paid time off, including an employee’s eligibility therefore, will be controlled by applicable plan documents and Sellers Dorsey policy.
