THE POSITION

As a UI/UX Customer Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences that delight users and meet business objectives. You are customer focus and customer experience obsessed. You will need to develop an understanding of user needs and behaviors to craft and present designs to help drive decisions of business owners and project leaders.   This role will be critical in leveraging expertise in user interface and user experience design to craft wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that optimize usability and accessibility across various platforms and devices. 

The UI/UX Customer Experience Designer has the following responsibilities:

User Research: 

  • In collaboration with business analysts, project managers, global solutions managers, and department leaders, conduct user research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points. 
  • Analyze the feedback to improve designs.

User Experience Design: 

  • Design intuitive and seamless user experiences for digital products or services. Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and communicate design concepts. 
  • Ensure consistency in design and usability across different platforms and devices.

User Interface Design: 

  • Develop visually appealing and interactive user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience. 

Prototyping and Testing: 

  • Create interactive prototypes to test and validate design solutions with users. Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing results to improve the user experience.

Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions. Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively to stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with front and back-end developers to correctly define scope, problem solve, and iterate designs.

Accessibility and Inclusivity: 

  • Ensure that designs are accessible and inclusive for users of all abilities. Follow best practices and guidelines for web accessibility and consider diverse user needs in the design process.

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in design or a related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design.  This includes the ability to produce a portfolio of work that showcases your skills and design process.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Design experience with iOS, Android and web apps.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with creating flows and journeys in InVision or other interactive prototype tools.
  • 2-3 years' experience leading customer discovery and user research efforts
  • Experience with HTML & CSS is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum and Stage Gate development process.
  • Development experience a plus but not required.

 

THE DEPARTMENT

Global Business Solutions is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to address various operational challenges and optimize business performance.  Its primary objective is to identify, analyze and provide practical solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability for the company.   The Global Business Solutions office utilizes a combination of analytical tools, industry best practices, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, implement technology solutions, and drive innovation.

Additionally, the department includes the Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for establishing and maintaining standardized project management practices, methodologies, and tools across the organization, ensuring consistency and efficiency in project execution. The PMO provides governance, oversight, and support to project teams, enabling successful project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
