TypeScript Engineer

We're looking for a diligent, testing-focused TypeScript Engineer to join our team and contribute to projects with our government clients. This position requires you to be physically located in the contiguous United States, with working hours of 9am-5pm ET.

Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Perform investigation and root cause analysis on production and pre-production issues using logs and monitoring tools
  • Expand test coverage for a large system with diverse component applications
  • Create large amounts of test data in support of quality assurance and training teams
  • Test behavior of API endpoints against requirements
  • Participate in team and company retrospectives to help define and refine working agreements and processes to help us work more effectively together as a team

What you’ll bring

  • Solid technical skills:
    • End-to-End testing (Cypress, Playwright)
    • Unit and integration testing (Jest)
    • Scripting with TypeScript using NodeJS
    • Load and Stress testing (Artillery)
    • Building user interfaces (React)
  • Developing engineering experience:
    • Committing clean code, free of obvious syntax or formatting issues
    • Following the architectural and general direction of the project and team
    • Code review and testing
    • Balancing workload realistically, communicates blockers, and clarifies expectations
    • Picking up medium, less defined tasks and finishing them with support
  • Experience working on a project integrating many different languages or components.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with and preference for remote work
  • Fluent spoken and written English

It’d be nice if you also had

  • Familiarity with some or all of the following technologies:
    • PostgreSQL
    • Postman
    • Python
    • Terraform
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
