GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager IV serves as a senior leader within the Information Technology Project Management Office (IT PMO), responsible for directing complex and high-profile IT projects that support the agency’s strategic goals. This role ensures project alignment with organizational priorities, stakeholder needs, and industry best practices while overseeing the delivery of projects with significant scope, budget, and complexity. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and accountability, the Project Manager IV operates under limited supervision, exercising significant latitude for initiative and independent judgment to achieve project success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide leadership for high-profile IT projects, ensuring alignment with TxDMV’s strategic goals and objectives.
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive project plans, including budgets, schedules, resource allocations, and risk management strategies.
Act as a primary liaison between executive stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and manage project performance, reporting progress and risks to leadership while recommending actionable solutions to address challenges.
