Purpose of Position
North Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NDPQC) is hiring A Tribal Liaison. NDPQC is funded by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and the Health Resouces and Services Administration to build capacity and implement quality improvement programs aiming to improve perinatal outcomes for families in North Dakota. We are currently working on substance exposed pregnancies and will be focusing on perinatal mental health starting in Spring 2025.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build relationship and recruit healthcare facility teams to participate in NDPQC QI initiatives
- Work with NDPQC Leadership to develop and coordinate activities of NDPQC and its initiatives to include facilitating meetings, preparing reports and presentations, and evaluating NDPQC and its initiatives in how it relates to the Indigenous nations participating.
- Identify barriers to participation for IHS and other Indigenous serving healthcare facilities
- Participate in idea development of grant writing for QI-related funding opportunities
- Represent NDPQC in national and state/region-wide meetings as needed
- Communicate with external key partners regularly
- Contribute to grant reporting requirements as needed
- Contribute to the overall success and sustainability of NDPQC
- Contribute to leadership staff meetings and discussions
- Contribute to the planning of organization-wide events
- Provide Indigenous perspective in strategic planning for NDPQC
- Ability to travel throughout North Dakota
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working with Tribal communities.
- High school graduate.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and willingness and ability to learn new software
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms, e.g. zoom, Webex, Team meetings, etc.
- Experience in healthcare administration, including program evaluation, planning, or quality improvement.
