Location: This position is remote and will require travel up to 50% based on business needs.
Principal Function:
The Training and Content Development Manager will support the Director, Learning & Development in designing and delivering effective training programs for Sodexo Live!'s leadership and frontline teams, both in person and virtually. This role will be responsible for developing brand specific and line of business-specific training content, that supports company strategic goals. This role ensures L & D content builds organizational capability while being engaging, and easy to digest. The Training and Content Development Manager will collaborate closely with functional leaders and other stakeholders to identify training needs and create innovative solutions to drive employee development.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver training programs to leadership and frontline employees, both virtually and in person.
- Facilitate interactive workshops, webinars, and on-the-job training sessions that foster a learning culture.
- Ensure training sessions are effective, engaging, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of employees at all levels.
- Skilled at influencing and relationship management with ability to work with key unit and above unit leaders to ensure maximum participation.
- Work closely with the Director, Learning & Development and key stakeholders to design and develop venue-specific and line of business-specific training materials.
- Develop engaging training content, including presentations, handouts, videos, and e-learning modules that align with the company's strategic goals which include Hospitality Excellence standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies to create easy-to-digest training materials that maximize knowledge retention and practical application.
- Collaborate with functional leaders across Sodexo Live! to understand specific business needs and translate them into relevant training solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze performance data to identify gaps and create targeted training interventions.
- Ensure that content is aligned with the overall learning strategy and business goals.
- Assist in building sustainability plan for all learning initiatives to ensure L & D programs become part of our organizational culture.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on feedback and evolving business needs.
- Ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and reflective of best practices in hospitality.
- Conduct L & D needs analysis to determine organizational pain points and make recommendations to address them.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in developing and delivering engaging training programs, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Experience in creating both in-person and virtual training content, including e-learning modules and interactive workshops.
- Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and blended learning techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Fluent Spanish speaker with ability to effectively deliver learning concepts in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different functions to address training needs.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
- Ability to facilitate platform administration and implement new user groups.
- Experience using Mapal is a plus.
- Working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools with excellent writing and proof-reading skills
