The Trading Specialist – Data Engineer is expected to define and manage the account trading process, focusing on efficiency and accuracy using Orion Eclipse, Salesforce and knowledge of securities trading. The Trading Specialist – Data Engineer also provides support to Advisor teams in delivering the best financial advice through expert knowledge of managed account offerings.

Managing the trading process requires deep knowledge of the Salesforce, Orion Eclipse trading platform and an understanding of needs from Investment Management, Operations, Compliance, and third-party custodians. The Trading Specialist – Data Engineer is responsible for developing processes to maintain and update data in Eclipse related to client accounts, model assignments, and portfolio revisions.  Significant use of Orion Eclipse, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel is required.  This includes using Orion Eclipse to assign and trade new accounts to models, maintain accurate adherence to models, implement model changes, fulfill advisor trading requests, and reconcile trades to ensure accuracy. 

This is a fully remote position.

The salary target for this role is $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. We encourage you to apply and provide us with your compensation expectations when you do. We’re big on open conversations, so, let’s have one.

Primary Job Functions 

Manage the data updates in Eclipse to ensure consistent, accurate and timely investing of client accounts

  • Updates to models provided by Investment Management

  • Development of templates for bulk imports of data

  • Flow of data between systems to ensure accuracy of information

Develop procedures to report on KPIs and other data sets integral to the monitoring and growth of the trading team

  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting in Salesforce to monitor processing of trade requests

  • Develop and maintain reports to monitor growth of AUM and accounts in each trading program

  • Use software to maximize our efficiencies and support investment objectives

Work with external partners to understand current process and work for continued process efficiencies

Assist with enhancements to Salesforce that promote efficiency and accuracy of trading

  • Work with Agile team to develop, test, and deploy enhancements to trade requests in Salesforce

  • Assist in development of API between Salesforce and Orion/Eclipse to automate trading workflows.

Assist in delivering the best financial advice through the timely and accurate trading of client accounts

  • Review processes for bulk trading and develop enhancements

  • Act as back-up for the daily trading

Education/Qualifications 

  • 4-years degree in business, finance, or economics (or equivalent work experience)

  • Experience with financial products

  • Mastery of advanced Excel functions required - ability to analyze and organize very large volumes of complex trading data

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce

  • Advanced knowledge of Orion Eclipse Rebalancing platform

  • 3+ plus years trading experience preferred

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize workflow and projects

  • Strong analytical and PC skills with problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate

  • Must have a record of academic excellence and strong work ethic

  • Must be in good compliance standing with all rules, regulations and policies

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as the Associate level is $66,460 to $102,700.
