Title Examiner (Remote)

What You'll Do:
- Perform quality control checks on title examinations. Review title evidence package, verify information against product requirements and adherence to service level agreements. (approximately 70-80%)
- Performs title search and examination of the chain of title in multiple states for orders requiring a limited level of expertise. Works on building state knowledge.
- Prepares initial title products including ownership and encumbrance reports, volume-based search worksheets and commitments/ preliminary title reports based on the application of procedural guidelines.
- Formulate and insert typical requirements on schedule B-1 of a commitment and in a reduced phrase format for volume-based search worksheets.
- Understand, review, and insert requirements related to various tenancies, entities, trusts, deceased individuals, and probate related to real property conveyances following procedures.
- Abstract records (i.e. mortgages, liens, judgments, vital statistics, property taxes and plat and map books) to determine ownership and verify legal description of property and completeness of records.
- Set-up volume-based search worksheet and files, including instructions, tasking, and sample packages.
- Calculate policy premiums.
- Prepare final title policies.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years search and title examination experience
- May require Title Agent License (required by some states)
- Understand the effect of deeds, satisfactions, judgments, full reconveyances, corporate documents, trust documents as it relates to property.

Pay Range: $19.82 - $26.43 Hourly. This position is eligible for bonus pay and/or incentives for production or other goals.
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
