You Are:

The Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst will be vital in identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities on AFS owned systems and poses ability to work with system owners to identify mitigations. The analyst will be responsible for running scheduled and ad hoc vulnerability scans across the Enterprise, and with generating reports, prioritize findings, and with the tracking of remediation efforts. The resource will be expected to research unfamiliar findings, and fully understand risk impact, as well as poses the ability to convey risks clearly to varying audiences. Additionally, the resource will assist with maintaining team procedure documentation and metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review vulnerability descriptions and understand related risks
  • Understand server and workstation architecture
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities based on security risk
  • Track remediation actions to closure
  • Process and convey technical details clearly and in a range of situations, both in writing and verbally.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly to leadership with relevant level of detail
  • Collaborate with other teams

Here's What You Need:

  • US Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a security-related role
  • 1 year of experience working with security vulnerabilities
  • 1 year of experience using a vulnerability scanning tool (e.g. Nessus, Qualys)
  • Working knowledge of network equipment and IP addressing
  • Previous experience with Windows based servers and workstations

Bonus Points if you have: 

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Security tools including Qualys, Tenable Nessus, NMAP
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple objectives with overlapping time constraints
  • Relevant security certifications
  • Ability to research and quickly grasp unfamiliar information technologies.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
