Job Description

The mission of the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Testing Services is to provide a professional testing environment for the campus and community that supports individuals on their path to personal, academic and career success. Testing Services strives to be inclusive and welcoming to all diverse populations. 

The Testing Services Coordinator directs, coordinates, and implements all aspects of college-wide testing services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. This includes implementing policies, operating procedures and processes for assessment testing, instructor-arranged testing, testing accommodations, HSRT testing, proctoring exams for other institutions, collaboration with high school programs, local businesses, and any special testing needed by the Academic Affairs and/or Student Affairs departments of the college. This position collaborates with other student services departments and assists in promoting and enhancing a campus community philosophy that acknowledges students’ individuality, diversity, and uniqueness and helps create a campus community that facilitates student success and treats students with dignity and respect.

This position will have responsibilities at both the Cambridge and Rapids campuses.  The home campus will be Cambridge and will travel to both campuses as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning/growth

  • 2 years experience in student services, academic advising and/or assisting individuals with the transition to higher education, OR an Associates degree with 1.5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in student services

  • Interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner

  • Multi-tasking and technical skills to manage multiple testing schedules and services that happen simultaneously on a daily basis

  • Computer skills to create, modify, analyze, manipulate and interpret data and generate reports from databases, spreadsheets and word processing documents

Preferred Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to work in a team environment that supports the diverse needs of students

  • Knowledge of testing policies, procedures, programs and curriculum to develop guidelines

  • Experience with certified testing and/or ability to obtain required certifications as needed to administer various assessment tests

  • Experience providing leadership, training and/or work direction for others sufficient to plan, coordinate and direct quality support services

  • Ability to evaluate testing and assessment programs and make recommendations in terms of acceptable standards and policies
