General Overview
We are looking for an experienced Temporal Engineer to collaborate with the DevOps/Infrastructure engineering team of one of our long-standing clients. Your main responsibility will be leading the migration from Tidal to Temporal which will enhance scalability and operational efficiency, impacting the daily workflows of multiple teams. You won’t just be migrating processes—you’ll be redefining them. The client is one of the leading investment/asset management companies in the US.
You will be working with Space Inch teammates as well as client team members on this project. Space Inch team members partner with our client’s team to comprise a large portion of five different combined teams.

About Working at Space Inch
- Our team is primarily based in Croatia (~50 people), with members in South America, Serbia, and the US.
- Occasional travel may be required, including annual company retreats in Croatia.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience with:
- Temporal platform (or similar job scheduling platforms)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, Azure DevOps)
- Terraform, Linux
- Python or Java development background
- ServiceNow automation (plus)
- Tidal (plus)
- Availability:
- Full-time (40 hrs/week)
- Normal working hours with occasional adjustments to enhance communication with the client which operates on eastern standard time (New York).
- Must be EU or South America based
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration from Tidal to Temporal, setting up a future-proof job scheduling architecture
- Analyze existing processes, identify pain points, and design optimized workflows in Temporal
- Collaborate with the core engineering team and advocate for the adoption of Temporal across other engineering teams
Qualities for success:
- Expertise in Job Scheduling Automation: Deep understanding of enterprise-level job scheduling requirements and how to implement them in Temporal
- Strategic Vision: Ability to design scalable, efficient workflows and architect a greenfield solution
- Autonomous Problem Solving: Self-driven with the initiative to lead the migration process and advocate for strategic changes
- Collaborative Communication: Ready to work closely with cross-functional teams and drive a mindset shift in workflow automation
