The role:
Apothékary is looking for a creative and strategic Temp Social Media Manager to lead the content strategy across our social platforms. You will manage and execute our content calendar, ensuring that our voice remains engaging, authentic, and aligned with the brand’s values. Your responsibilities will include creating and posting content, ideating, shooting, and editing short-form videos, and managing community engagement on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest. You’ll work closely with our founder and creative teams to produce content for campaigns and product launches, while continuously optimizing strategies based on performance metrics.
Requirements
- Create, post, and manage Apothékary’s social content calendar, including organic and support for paid social content, with the goal of outlining at least 1 month in advance
- Oversee all deliverables, community management, growth, and engagement goals
- Build and execute a differentiated channel strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube & Pinterest holding true to Apothékary’s brand values
- Staying current on weekly IG Reels/TikTok video trends and quickly executing concepts relevant to the brand
- Ideating, planning, shooting, and editing short-form video content for TikTok, Facebook, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Support content creation as needed on paid and organic social channels
- Work closely with our founder, Shizu Okusa, to capture content in person for paid and organic usage
- Work with the marketing team to produce campaign or launch-specific content for organic social media accounts
- Support in editing videos and photos from influencers when needed
- Ensure brand voice is unique to Apothékary (sass, lightheartedness, fun) and is consistent across all digital channels
- Stay up to date with trends across platforms and present relevant ideas to the team
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality with all materials and information
- Take on special projects as assigned which may include research into topics of interest
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and social media best practices to identify new opportunities and optimize social media strategies
- Work hand in hand with the creative team to develop compelling and engaging brand assets to drive new launches, support core products, and bring brand storytelling to life.
- Work with Copywriter to ensure brand voice is unique to the industry and is consistent across all digital channels
- Track, analyze, and report on weekly performance metrics through Dash Hudson on social channels to inform what shifts need to happen and tests to implement
- Engage with followers on all owned channels, including our Herbalist Insiders FB group, respond to messages and comments in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews in collaboration with our Customer Success Team
- Note that job responsibilities may evolve based on our growing company’s needs
- Meet weekly with the Marketing team to align on campaigns, promotions, and priorities for the week
Ideal candidate:
- 3+ years of experience managing social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest.
- Skilled in creating and editing short-form video content for various platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and the ability to quickly apply them to content creation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice.
- Collaborative team player with experience working closely with creative teams and leadership.
Compensation
- $30.00 per hour
Time and Location:
**This is a temporary position to cover a leave of absence and may have a set duration based on the company’s needs.
This is a full-time, fully remote 1099 role. Our team primarily works off of Eastern Time between 9:00am-5:00pm. Flexibility will be allowed between those hours, but this role will work closely in collaboration with the full time team and therefore would be expected to work between those regular daytime hours.
This position is available to start immediately. Note that job responsibilities may change based on the company’s evolving needs.
