The Temporary Adoptions Specialist will provide operational support for the national adoptions team to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of adoption processes. The position reports to the Director, Adoptions.

The impact you'll have: 

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to update information on state and public review websites.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the timely submission of all required materials on bid portals and in hard copy format.
  • Track district results and compile data to create comprehensive reports for the national adoptions team.
  • Maintain up-to-date state adoptions trackers, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $25/hr-$30/hr . The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.


Benefits - Temporary and per diem employees who average, and maintain, at least 30 hours of work per week may become eligible for medical coverage, under the Affordable Care Act, after an initial waiting period. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.

Summary: 

The Adoptions Specialist will provide operational support for the national adoptions team to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of adoption processes. This role collaborates cross functionally, coordinates logistics, and maintains accurate records to support the team in achieving its adoption goals. The position reports to the Director, Adoptions.

Essential duties/responsibilities: 

Work with internal and external subject matter experts to complete necessary items for adoption submissions. Coordinate preparation and packaging of sample materials for adoption submissions. Coordinate the shipping process to ensure accurate and timely delivery to the appropriate stakeholders. Collaborate with relevant teams to create, update, and maintain information on state and public review websites. Collaborate with the team to ensure the timely submission of all required materials on bid portals and in hard copy format. Track district results and compile data to create comprehensive reports for the national adoptions team. Maintain up-to-date state adoptions trackers, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members. Participate in the entire adoption process, including preparing documentation, assembling necessary materials, and collaborating with team members. Other relevant duties, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: 

2+ years of professional experience, with at least one year of experience in state textbook adoptions or similar work Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

Travel: Less than once per month

Working Environment: Typical office environment
