About the role
AgelessRx’s Telehealth Physician is responsible for working as part of our medical team and providing prescriptive services with an emphasis on longevity. The Doctor will be tasked in reviewing patient prescription requests, assessing medical history and their current situation to determine suitability, and answer patient inquiries and concerns.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to our patients and passionate about the field of longevity with a strong background in conducting consultations in a remote setting. This position is hourly, and while the schedule may vary, a minimum of 20 hours per week, of which at least 10 must be synchronous is requested.
What you'll do
- Review patient prescription requests, assess the medical history, and inquire about the patient's current circumstances to determine suitability
- Work closely with admin and support staff to handle and resolve patient inquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Participate in both synchronous and asynchronous patient consultations, provide ongoing patient care, and respond promptly to patient inquiries and concerns
- Develop appropriate prescription plans based on guidelines, while maintaining an independent medical judgment
- Provide ongoing support and encourage adherence to treatment plans by building and maintaining strong relationships with patients
- Contribute to the improvement of company processes and internal efficiency
- Participate in continuing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge as needed
- Maintain an accurate and detailed record of patient interactions within the EMR and ensure all documentation complies with current healthcare regulations and standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare to improve patient outcomes and drive continuous improvements
Qualifications
- At least 2-4 years of physician experience outside of residency
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Licensed to practice medicine in at least 2 of the following states, with the willingness to obtain additional licenses (AL, AR, GA, KY, MS, MO, OR, PA, TN).
- Experience working in a telehealth environment
- Technical proficiency with computers, telehealth platforms, and tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and an interest in longevity is a plus
