The Telecom OSP Construction Manager is responsible for the project's construction schedule, expenses, quality of work and safety. This position also manages the resources performing the construction work including direct reporting staff, matrix staff, and vendor and subcontractor resources.
- Must maintain and enforce the company's safety program, ensure daily jobsite safety plans are reviewed and followed, and stop work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist
- Perform daily construction oversight, including pre-construction walk out of fiber route, document existing conditions prior to construction start, document and manage the repair/reinstatement of any hits/damaged property as a result of the construction activity, collect and review close out documentation for compliance with design and client installation requirements
- Provides on-site analysis of ongoing specific construction projects; utilizing higher level construction managers or project managers for advice on changes in plans
- Interface with the client's engineering team, as well as utilizing the company's engineering and management team for decisions
- Installs the quality program for our team and subcontractors work, making certain all quality standards are met to customer specifications
- Must be available to travel - depending on project location.
Here's What You'll Need:

3-5 years of industry experience required, specifically in all forms of Aerial and Underground fiber construction methods

Excellent oral and written communication skills required

MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

Engineering or technical degree preferred
Remote: Typical salary range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
