Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: Will support 8:00am to 5:00pm PST
What this Job Entails:
The Technical Writer will develop and enhance documentation related to services. The role will both compose assessment, new documentation, publication, and edit the work of others, ensuring high standards for readability, grammar, and content. The key to success in this rule is the ability to synthesize complex processes and instructions into easy to follow guidebooks, instructions, and general communications. The person in this position should be an expert in communications.
Scope:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Works on problems of moderate scope
Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Initial Readability Assessment Services for existing material
Review documentation (including but not limited to all sites maintained at the org level and team-level pages, process and procedure and best practices documentation), and provide an assessment of the readability, structure and flow of the documentation that is in place now.
Test various links, artifacts and other documentation and organize a list of all the broken links, email addresses and any non-functional items for addressing during the cleanup.
Review the flow of documentation and document areas where it needs to be restructured for reducing duplication and cognitive load to users
Present the findings to a small set of leadership Based on the outcome of the Initial Readability Assessment(s), provide a prioritized list of areas to be addressed.
Create technical documentation to address the gaps identified during the Initial Readability Assessment(s).

Technical Writing Outputs: Create presentations to show and tell the changes that have been performed on the sites and documentation.
Create presentations to evangelize the process for uniform adoption
Deliverables:QBR / MBR templates for the partner engagement process to be delivered to team
Requested documentation and revisions as requested while adhering to the service level objectives
Templates and graphics for any other collateral to be completed
Weekly progress reports to be provided to stakeholder
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Builds productive internal and external working relationships
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Experience writing, proofreading and editing
Ability to produce and organize content succinctly, with a logical flow
Familiarity with content authoring tools
Understanding of editing and formatting technical documents
Knowledge of using a content management system or document management system
Passionate attention to detail
Ability to work independently and be self directed, as well as the ability to willingly follow guidance from others
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity using Google apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites
Experience working in an international setting
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Salary Range
$26.90 - $42.47 USD (Hourly)- Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
