Technical Systems Specialist, Product Development - Remote, USA
The Technical Systems Specialist in Product Development is responsible for the technical configuration and implementation of central applications related to Ambry’s genetic testing products and workflows. The Technical Systems Specialist works independently as well as cross-functionally under general direction, assuming primary responsibility for interdepartmental planning, coordination, and execution of system updates and system qualifications related to new and existing Ambry products and workflows.
Essential Functions
- Serves as a resource for Research & Development and other affiliated departments as a subject matter expert for central Ambry systems as related to product development and genetic testing workflows
- Attends applicable core team meetings and sub-group meetings as needed to gather requirements for product configurations and/or other systems testing
- Draft and finalize system qualification plans and reports in collaboration with other project stakeholders
- Coordinates and executes system qualifications of developed features against requirements for specified systems and products in accordance with SOPs and collates documentation records
- Performs functional testing documentation (FTD)/user acceptance testing (UAT) and provides required documentation for new system features, updates, and/or new products as requested to support Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Provides weekly status updates on projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- New Hire: 3+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of clinical diagnostics and design control
- Current Employee: 2+ years in a technical or operational role
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or computer sciences (or related fields), or clinical laboratory science or medical technology or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate success working independently and with a team
- Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Prior clinical laboratory experience (technical or operational)
- Understanding of product development processes, regulatory requirements, and agile methodologies
- Demonstrate knowledge of operational/logistical aspects of clinical testing

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
