We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Specialist - Community Engagement - to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role involves leading community engagement efforts to support the planning, development, and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing community resilience and mitigating risks.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to ensure meaningful participation from local stakeholders in projects.
  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with community stakeholders, including local governments, community organizations, and residents.
  • Organize and facilitate public meetings, workshops, and forums to gather community input and provide project updates.
  • Create and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters, fact sheets, and social media content, to keep the community informed about project progress and opportunities for involvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and incorporate feedback from community stakeholders into project planning and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, including planners, engineers, and other specialists, to integrate community input into project designs and plans.
  • Provide education and training to community members about resilience, hazard mitigation, and the objectives of projects.
