The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands.
ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes.
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Project Manager- Data Infrastructure to join our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Technology Project Manager will maintain complete oversight and responsibility for the data infrastructure team, services, performance, quality, resource assignment, and reporting requirements
Ensure communication among team members and will serve as a single point of contact for Federal clients related to technology tasks
Practice servant leadership to effectively guide a self-organizing team
Anticipate problems and identify solutions with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Work with stakeholders to define clear project objectives and requirements, agree on priorities communicate progress updates and demonstrations, and resolve issues and conflicts
Manage Agile ceremonies and ensure all members are on board with their workload and have clear direction on tasks
Respond to all client requests in a timely manner
Practice effective task management to prioritize work and meet short-turnaround deadlines while ensuring processes are followed
Analyze problems with a flexible and creative approach, manage complex tasks and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
Assign and oversee the daily tasks of highly technical personnel while ensuring they are actively working toward established milestones
Provide regular and up-to-date status reports to stakeholders
Create project budgets and reallocate resources where necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
8+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager with IT projects in a professional work environment
PMP Certification
Must have experience with managing Information Technology projects and with life cycle and project management methodologies
Must have a technology or development background or experience
Must have ability to identify and mitigate risks
Must have experience with tracking costs, schedules, and performance progress
Security + Certification is required.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/ active Secret Clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel.
