Waymo's Procurement and Vendor Enablement Office is a diverse, collaborative, and service-oriented group with a mission to efficiently procure indirect goods and services, build supplier relationships, and support outsourcing excellence to achieve Waymo's growth goals. The Vendor Enablement Office works across Waymo to ensure the right type of workforce is being deployed in the right locations and manages to provide service excellence. We provide oversight and are responsible for the strategy, governance and lifecycle operations across our temporary staff and outsourced services workforce. The team implements programs, provides processes, sets policies and manages governance to make it easier and less risky for Waymonauts to successfully engage with an extended workforce.

You will report to our Head of Procurement Risk and Operations and will be based remotely from the United States.

In this role you'll:

  • Manage Waymo's extended workforce access program: This includes leading projects to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with Alphabet's security policies, and implementing access control measures.
  • Partner with technical leads, tool owners, and vendor managers to gather requirements, conduct risk assessments, and provide recommendations for access.
  • Identify and address vulnerabilities in tooling and processes to strengthen security and prevent data breaches.
  • Develop training materials, automate reports and dashboards, and communicate program decisions and updates to team members.

At a minimum, we'd like you to have:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing technical programs in access management, tool provisioning, or vendor management, with a proven track record of strategy, design, execution, and measurement of large-scale programs. This includes fluency in project planning, dependency identification, and cross-functional execution, while also driving process improvements.
