Technical Product Manager - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Location: Toronto,Ontario,Canada
Forum's Venture Studio brings together ambitious people, brilliant ideas, and capital to build the best B2B SaaS businesses in the world, from 0 to 1. In addition to capital and an idea, we provide founders with access to investor networks, fundraising support, and the resources needed to build transformational companies. Our model is designed to help you move faster, develop better insights, and build companies that have a higher success rate than startups built in any other way.
As a Technical Product Manager for Forum Venture’s Studio, you’ll have the unique opportunity to partner with world-class Founders and a venture studio team composed of former Founders, CTOs, and experienced startup operators. Meet the team here.
This role is ideal for a dynamic individual that cares deeply about enabling teams to do their best work, technical understanding, and startup experience. Bonus points if you’ve been a founder, and/or have worked with AI, ML, or data-driven B2B SaaS products in the past.
Top priorities for this role:
Gather product requirements and develop product specs across our studio portfolio companies
Develop technical documentation (ie. information architecture, system flows, API specifications) to articulate the initial product vision
Support Founders with their long-term vision of their products and roadmap
Develop insights based on product research and user interviews to inform the architecture and user experience of the product
Collaborate with designers, engineering, and other key stakeholders (ie. design partners and/or clients) to ensure clear communication and alignment in launching features, and driving and measuring user adoption and revenue
About You:
Experience building SaaS products, preferably in agency or early-stage startup environments
You can operate well without the whole picture
Technical acumen to break down complex technical needs into manageable deliverables
A demonstrated passion for startups with an empathy for the founder journey
Bonus points:
You’ve been a founder
You’ve taken a product from 0-1
You have a technical degree or relevant experience in software development
What we offer:
A front-row seat to venture building with a group of ambitious and authentic people that care deeply about solving problems
The equipment and resources you’ll need to be set up for success working remotely
Yearly team offsites to keep you connected to your coworkers
Compensation
$120,000 - $150,000 CAD
Carried interest in the Studio fund
Generous benefits package from day 1
Flexible remote work-from-anywhere policy (or work out of our Toronto office if you want!)
Unlimited PTO. We recommend all team members take a minimum of 3 weeks per year on top of our biannual company-wide shutdowns
