The Axiom Talent Platform team is committed to improving the way our legal force is deployed, managed, and interacted with, and this role is a key player in the team that will be designing and implementing our complex back-end systems to support our entire platform. As the team migrates into our next evolution of tools, this role will be key in ensuring back-end stability and performance.  A Technical Manager ensures that architectural frameworks, patterns, and designs are scalable, reliable, secure, supportable, and achieve business performance. This role will lead development teams, assist with designing major subsystems and related interfaces, and provide guidance and mentoring across the entire Software Development organization.

About you:

• Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • RESTful api design and implementation experience
  • Node.js experience
  • Relational databases
  • Java or object-oriented language(s) experience
  • AWS experience
  • Experience with code versioning systems (Git, SVN)
  • Experience with DevOps and deployment pipelines
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party systems
  • Ability to groom business requirements into technical action items
  • A proficient communicator with both technical and non-technical parties
  • Interested in mentoring a team of developers

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch
  • Microservice architectures
  • Experience as a Team Lead
  • Experience with Apache Kafka
  • Experience in a CI/CD and agile environment

Axiom’s total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all job candidates. The annual base salary range for this role located in the continental US is $138,000 - 180,000, and you will be eligible to participate in our cash bonus plan which on target would be 15% of your base salary for a Senior Manager role on the Tech team. Please note that the final compensation is determined by several considerations, including the quality of your experience and expertise, your ability to immediately contribute to Axiom, your potential to move up to the next level, the market you are located in, and other business considerations.
