SUMMARY

The Technical Data Analyst is responsible for assisting with audit data findings and review for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS). This position utilizes expertise in data analytics to develop, automate and maintain data analyses to support the annual Compliance Supplement review process. The primary focus of this position is to develop data analysis, data validation, data automation for reports and presentations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to obtain government security clearance.

Experience with current and emerging technologies that involves implementing, administering, performing tests and analyzing all elements of network systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Participates in the creation or redesign of reports and communications supporting processes and procedures.

Assists with machine learning/natural language processing to create more informative and intuitive understanding of audit issues and topics.

Identifies weaknesses and gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements, and automation related to the Compliance Supplement and recommends corrective action.

Provides enhanced automation and streamlining of the annual Compliance Supplements review/update process via a secured work sharing space.

Supports the development, review, analysis and documentation of new and enhanced system documents including SOPs, templates, plans, manuals, workflows and other guidance documentation.

Implements plans, collects data and prepares appropriate technical reports and papers in support of projects.

Provides technical expertise in various hardware and software modeling and databases.

Assists in defining requirements for setup data collection efforts.

Collects/assimilates data, assists in data analysis, and contributes to results and findings and preparing of reports.

Conducts data analysis and develops data visualizations using Information Technology (IT) tools

Develops and maintains other databases as needed to manage data.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and a minimum of four (4) years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience/training.

Knowledge of Applications - SharePoint, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Python, Microsoft Forms

Proficient knowledge and understanding of software testing concepts, practices, and procedures

Excellent general computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows / Office

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess business requirements

Ability to learn and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organization skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Excellent verbal, written and graphics communications skills

Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively interact with management and staff at all levels within a multi-level organization

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment for the successful achievement of goals and objectives

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret audit data findings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to effectively speak before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, determination of data reliability and validity.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.  

The pay range for this role is $82,000 - $105,000, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
