The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Consultant within our Rapid Diagnostics, Infectious Disease division. This is a field-based remote role based in Dallas, TX with 75% travel involved.
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbottâs Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.Â
This position will assist Account Managers with evaluations, demonstrations, and the activation of new accounts, retaining at-risk and VIP customers, providing maintenance of established accounts, and contributing to the growth of existing accounts. This position will also provide education on the clinical utility of our products in the laboratory and/or Point-of-Care setting as needed. Â
What you'll work on
- Provide on-site technical and clinical training on all Abbott Infectious Disease products, including instruments and visual read tests.
- Provide on-site customer assistance in the performance of verification studies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including CLIA, CAP, COLA, and TJC, on all ARDx-IDDM products as applicable.
- Create consultative, advising relationships with customers regarding technically relevant issues, product utilization, and optimizing âŚ
