Technical Business Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates analysis meetings and sessions in support of departmental and enterprise initiatives
- Analyze, trend, report and present findings as well as create high quality visual representations for broad and diverse audiences within the organization
- Create precise documents to describe specifications, capabilities, and processes associated with the assigned projects demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in process and technical solution creation activities
- Develop and maintain SAS/SQL/VBA/SharePoint reporting tools, databases and processes
- Query and manipulate data to identify variance and root cause, analyze trend, summarize findings and develop recommendations for stakeholders
- Work departmentally and interdepartmentally to address deficiencies and recommend implementation of creative efficiencies and modifications to existing process
- Prepare routine reports as needed (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.) and other duties as assigned
- Collaborate with business units to understand strategic goals and promote an environment conducive to creativity, change and information exchange
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Hands on technical experience with database tools and structures
- Experience in creating, editing and running queries using SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, or SQL Server applications
- Experience in creating, reverse-engineering and maintaining Excel/Access VBA
- Demonstrated ability to create visualizations and presentations with hands on experience in PowerPoint (Themes, animations, transitions), Word (templates, outlining, themes, embedded objects) and Excel (advanced functions and formulas, pivot tables, visual presentation)
- Experience in gathering and communicating complex analytical business requirements in a simple and easy to understand manner to other staff. As the SME, the BA will need to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, testing teams, and business stakeholders
- Ability to diagnose system deficiency and issue and provide quality assurance testing
- Experience in facilitating analysis sessions
- Experience with delivering presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with excellent time management and prioritization skill
- This is a collaborative team environment. You must be able to effectively work with others, provide and implement project solutions while understanding process flows
- Demonstrate consistent multi-tasking skills and planning for prioritizing workload within tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience and knowledge in Claims Operations, Enrollment & Billing, Members Services, or Providers Operations
- Agile Experience (Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework)
- VersionOne Software and/or Kanban Software Experience
- Knowledge of other programming/reporting applications (i.e. Visual Basic Studio, Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos, Python, etc)
- Knowledge and relevant work experience within the healthcare industry (such as a managed care organization, commercial health insurance plans, hospital, etc)
- Hands-on experience with rules based table and systems (i.e. PowerMHS, Biz Talk, PEGA Preprocessor, SaleForce CRM, etc)
- Knowledge of Macess or other workflow systems (i.e. MS Project, SharePoint or any other time management system or project tracking tools)
- Experience with Visio
- Experience with Business Process modeling
- Experience with Cloud technology and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $76,000 - $109,820
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $67,600 - $100,555
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
