SUMMARY
The Technical Assistance (TA) Specialist provides support to Tribal Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) grant recipients including the following:
- Supporting the development of happy, healthy and successful American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN)children and families through a coordinated home visiting strategy that addresses critical maternal and child health, development, early learning, family support and child abuse and neglect prevention needs.
- Implementing high-quality, evidence-based home visiting programs in AIAN communities.
- Expanding the evidence base around home visiting interventions with Native populations.
- Supporting and strengthening cooperation and coordination and promoting linkages among various early childhood programs, resulting in coordinated, comprehensive early childhood systems.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Subcontract Director, Technical Assistance Director, other THRIVE staff, ACF staff and consultants to plan and deliver all levels of technical assistance to grant recipients.
- Maintain a portfolio of 12-15 grant recipients, including supporting grant recipients through a community needs and readiness assessment, implementation planning, program implementation through intensive, relationship-based technical assistance.
- Implement grant recipient communication strategies as directed by ACF including participating and note taking on grant recipient monthly calls.
- Participate in the development and implementation of an annual, national grant recipient meetings.
- Plan and participate in the implementation of technical assistance activities including Communities of Learning and webinars.
