The Marketing Technology team at DIRECTV is seeking a Technical Architect with a strong background in data quality assurance, marketing automation support, and channel execution strategy. This role will play a critical part in ensuring data integrity, streamlining campaign operations, and designing scalable, efficient workflows for omnichannel marketing execution. 

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Data QA & Validation: 
  • Develop and maintain processes for end-to-end data validation across marketing campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. 
  • Build automated testing frameworks to proactively catch and prevent data anomalies. 
  • Marketing Automation Support: 
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for marketing technology tools (including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Tealium CDP, etc.) and proprietary internal systems. 
  • Work closely with campaign operations to optimize workflows and resolve execution issues. 
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, increasing efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Channel Execution Process Design: 
  • Architect new processes for executing campaigns across multiple channels including email, SMS, push, and direct mail. 
  • Ensure consistency and reusability in campaign design and execution workflows. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, compliant, and customer-centric marketing solutions. 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 3 – 5 years required, 5+ years preferred of experience in technical marketing roles, preferably within large-scale consumer businesses. 
  • Strong understanding of MarTech platforms, data architecture, and campaign automation workflows. 
  • Expert with modern marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Braze, etc.) and CDPs (Tealium preferred). 
  • Expert in SQL, scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript), and data pipeline validation. 
  • Experience with QA frameworks, automated testing, and performance monitoring. 
  • Experience integrating MarTech tools with CDPs, CRMs, and analytics platforms. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working within Agile marketing or DevOps environments. 
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy compliance (e.g., CCPA, GDPR). 
  • Previous experience at a media, telecom, or entertainment company.
