The Performance Consultation Team Leader provides clinical oversight of management consultation team by ensuring that the team is following agreed upon procedures as well as being a subject matter expert around complicated workplace issues involving risk to our customers. Provides clinical assessments and case management for supervisory referral in addition to providing management consultation to workplace management/HR teams. Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure client and client companies’ satisfaction of EAP services.

Key duties include:

  • Leads team of management  consultants by providing coaching and training consistent with BHS policies and procedures. 
  • Acts in the capacity of  subject matter expert on employer facing, organizational services.
  • Monitors the daily operations of the Management Consultants including scheduling, work allocation and troubleshooting.
  • Monitors dashboard performance of Management Consultants; provides constructive feedback and sets improvement milestones where indicated. 
  • Plans, develops, and implements procedures for Performance Consultation team, with collaboration and guidance from the with Clinical Manager and Director.
  • Trains new/existing staff on policies/procedures and oversee ongoing training of staff in coordination with the Clinical Director and BHS’s goals and objectives.
  • Provides consultative services for client companies requesting onsite services including trainings, critical incident stress management services and additional onsite services to ensure appropriate coordination and delivery.
  • Provides supervisory consultations with HR/Managers/Occupational Health to assess for workplace issues/trends and provide suggestions and assist with development (aftercare monitoring for up to one year for mandatory, substance abuse and high-risk cases.
  • Accepts calls for all EAP self-referrals and supervisory referrals; educate clients on and connect to various services available and applicable through EAP/Wellness services. 
  • Conducts client intake and assess for various risk factors including depression, substance abuse, domestic violence, child/elder abuse, threats of violence suicide and homicide. Assist callers in crisis situations and identify immediate solutions for trauma.
  • Ensures the accurate and complete documentation of client information in company database (Dynamics) 
  • Collaborates with local EAP counselors and treatment centers to devise and monitor treatment plan for each client.
  • Assists client companies in identifying specific workplace issues and EAP resources available to  assist resolving identified issues. 
  • Provides individual counseling sessions and additional onsite services, including trainings, CISM, orientations and health fairs as needed.
  • Participation in on-call/pager rotation.
  • Makes recommendations for department, database, or system efficiencies and improvements.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of the Performance/Management Consultation field.
  • Collaborates on quality initiatives across all clinical departments.
  • Provides structured, face-to-face supervision for all Management Consultants as needed.
  • Provides constructive feedback and sets improvement milestones as required.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop best practices for event offerings and delivery.
  • Acts as clinical liaison for Program Management for utilization reviews, customer-facing meetings, and customer      implementations.
  • Aids with sales opportunities by highlighting clinical trends and successes.
  • Attends sales meetings as the clinical representative when needed.
  • Ability to flex schedule to support operating hours.
  • Assists Director and Manager with call center operations and coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field is required
  • Three to seven (3-7) years’ experience in EAP, Crisis Response Services and/or case management experience preferred.
  • Licensed Mental Health Clinician in the state the reside is required; at the highest level within the state is preferred.
  • Three to seven (3-7) years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) preferred
  • HR Certified (SHRM or HRCI) preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of corporate health and wellness. 
  • Knowledge and experience working within applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures within the Wellness, EAP, and behavioral health care field.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Outlook.
