Team Lead Condition Monitoring & Remote Operations

 The Condition Monitoring & Remote Operations team is responsible for applying Advanced Condition and Online Vibration Monitoring (among other methodologies) to help ensure the integrity of Uniper Energy Assets, therefore playing a key role in their reliability and profitability. This team will also develop the concept for future remote operations of our renewables portfolio.

Your responsibilities

 

An experienced professional, eager to lead their team (with support from the Condition Monitoring Technical Head) in cooperation with the other teams in the Operational Performance Department to monitor risks for the integrity and performance degradation of our existing Energy Assets and to develop models for our future ones.

 

You will lead the Condition Monitoring & Remote Operations team, which is based in the UK, acting as a role model, promoting teamwork (within the team and beyond it) and supporting your team members to grow personally and professionally. You will lead your team to: 

  • Develop, implement and update Advanced Condition Monitoring models for our Energy Assets, driving the improvement of our proprietary methodology or adopting new ones based on AI
  • Perform Online and On-site Vibration Monitoring and Analysis in order to anticipate as much as possible those issues and identify their failure mechanisms
  • Describe and document the core processes within their team and apply operational excellence to improve them
  • Cooperate with the Operational Performance leadership team to update the department´s close-loop management system  
  • You will periodically update the competence assessment of your team members, especially with regards to new technologies and businesses, enabling that the condition of our energy assets is appropriately monitored since their COD 
  • You will keep and demonstrate an inclusive attitude and mindset, acting as a role model for your team members
 

  

Your profile


 Essential:

  • Relevant university degree in engineering or science
  • Relevant operational experience and/or technical competence in condition monitoring and advanced data analytics applied to Energy Assets
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across a matrix organization
  • Ability to build, develop and motivate a high performance team with an OE mindset
  • DEI sensibility 
  • Willingness to undertake international travel
  • Business fluency in English


Desirable:

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Strategic understanding of the energy market
  • Business fluency in German
