Tax Supervisor (Hybrid Remote) - Locust Point, MD

This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.Salary: $100,000 - 120,000/year As a Tax Supervisor, you will oversee tax engagements, manage tax compliance processes, and provide strategic tax planning guidance to clients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead tax engagements, including tax return preparation, review, and filing.
• Manage tax compliance activities, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, optimizing tax strategies and minimizing liabilities.
• Review complex tax issues and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and train tax staff, fostering professional development and growth.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address tax-related inquiries and issues.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, team members, and management.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
