Tax Manager (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $100,000 - 120,000/yearThis position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home. The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public accounting, a strong grasp of tax regulations, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting for individuals and businesses.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients’ financial goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality work.
  • Research and stay updated on tax laws and regulations to provide timely advice to clients.
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation, and communicate findings to clients.
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure a comprehensive service offering.
  • Assist with tax-related projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
