In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.
With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering the cost of healthcare, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital market segments.

Global Tax Manager – Emergency Care Business
Location: US (Bothell, WA or remote)
Reporting to: Head of Finance
This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead the tax function for BU Emergency Care, which will be carved out from Philips at the end of 2025. The NewCo will have eight legal entities (of which seven are newly established legal entities) across the US, Europe, and Asia, with a strong footprint in the US. As a Tax generalist, you will take full ownership of global tax operations, compliance, and strategy.
The BU Emergency Care is currently being carved out and will be transferred to Private Equity. Therefore, this is a great opportunity if you have the ambition to become the new Global Tax Manager and have entrepreneurial mindset. Additionally, you will be providing financial expertise to support a smooth disentanglement and transition from Philips to the NewCo.
Your role:
Tax Strategy, Risk Management & Advisory
Monitor international tax developments across key jurisdictions (Europe, APAC, US), assessing potential risks and opportunities.
Advise on tax implications of business expansion, cross-border transactions, and supply chain restructuring.
Partner with internal teams (finance, legal, treasury, commercial) to optimize global tax strategies and mitigate risks.
Represent the company in tax audits and regulatory inquiries across multiple jurisdictions.
International Transfer Pricing & Cross-Border Taxation
Develop, implement, and maintain global transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure accurate documentation and reporting across global entities.
Collaborate with finance teams across regions to ensure proper execution of transfer pricing strategies.
Global Tax Compliance & Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate corporate income tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the US, focusing on income tax.
Oversee indirect tax compliance, ensuring proper reporting and risk management across multiple tax regimes.
Manage external tax advisors for outsourced global tax compliance and advisory services.
Prepare and review tax provisions, financial disclosures, and deferred tax calculations for statutory and financial reporting across different GAAP frameworks (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
Tax Process Optimization & Technology
Drive process standardization and automation for tax compliance and reporting across multiple entities.
Evaluate and implement tax technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and refine internal tax policies to ensure consistency across global operations.
Conduct internal training and awareness programs on tax matters, tailored to the needs of regional finance teams.
You’re the right fit if:
You’ve got a bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Tax (preferably), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
You’ve acquired 7+yrs of tax experience in a multinational corporation or a Big 4/leading tax advisory firm, with a strong focus on international tax compliance and structuring. Expertise in corporate income tax and international tax principles across multiple jurisdictions, and knowledge of indirect taxes and transfer pricing. Experience managing cross-border tax compliance and reporting.
You’re a highly organized and detail-oriented person, with the ability to manage multiple tax obligations across jurisdictions. Entrepreneurial mindset and initiative-taker who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment. Strong business and Finance acumen enabling excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with regional finance teams, external advisors, and tax authorities.
You’re skills include strong collaboration skills, working effectively with global finance, legal, and commercial teams. Adaptability and openness to change, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position is:
$123.564 to $197.702 (Bothell (WA), CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY & Washington D.C.)
$104.809 to $167.694 (AZ, AR, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN & WV)
$110.325 to $176.520 (AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI & WY)
$115.841 to $185.346 (AK, DE, HI, MD & RI)
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
