Job Description

The Tax Analyst position generally requires one year of experience in the relevant tax field for which they are being considered (e.g. federal and state corporate income taxes, premium taxes, sales and use taxes, taxation involving federal and state tax provision, federal and state compliance work including preparation of federal and state tax returns as well as a variety of compliance projects related to insurance and noninsurance companies.)

Key Responsibilities

• Special projects as assigned- including gathering relevant information to respond to taxing authority notices, assisting in tax research projects that may involve utilizing RIA research software, etc

• Downloading balances from our general ledger software (SAP) and reconciling the account balances to the specific transaction details for the respective period

• Preparation of federal and state tax returns (including state premium tax returns). This involves working with income tax (CorpTax) and/or Premium Tax (Premium Pro) return preparation software to prepare the respective returns

• Downloading SAP income detail and gathering income projections from various business units to calculate projected tax liabilities for the various companies

• Preparation of federal and/or state tax provision for financial reporting

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 0-2 years experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $42,960.00 - 74,527.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
