Tax Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional with a background in corporate tax to join the Group Tax Team of a growing global healthcare services provider in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Reporting to the US Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of federal and state tax returns, tax account provisioning and tax research projects, including working closely with our Finance functions and external advisers.  This is an ideal role for a candidate wishing to develop their career in tax while gaining exposure to a commercially focused global tax function.

This permanent full-time role is based in PA, USA where we offer a hybrid working arrangement, which we hope supports a healthy work life balance by creating more flexibility to meet work and personal commitments.  Our main PA office is in Yardley.  We are open to applications on a fully remote work basis as well but ideally within driving distance of Yardley.

Role Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance: Ownership for accurate and timely prepared consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, estimates/forecasts and supporting documentation across our US companies. 
  • Responding to federal, state and local tax notices and managing federal, state and local tax audits and examinations.
  • Tax Accounting: Preparation of the year-end and interim US current and deferred tax provisions, which includes preparing tax basis balance sheet with book & tax basis difference analysis and deferred tax proof, and liaising with external auditors.
  • Projects: Performing tax research, consulting, and other tax projects to support our Group Tax Team and businesses.
  • Support systems and process improvement projects to gain efficiencies in our tax function.
  • Keeping up to date with legislative developments and ensuring implications of changes are addressed appropriately.

What do you bring to the Role?

  • BS degree in accounting or finance - CPA an advantage.
  • 3years’ relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or a multinational company with federal and multi-state income tax compliance experience.
  • A confident self-starter with strong organisational skills, ability of working to tight deadlines, dealing with ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong IT skills (particularly Excel). Experience working with corporate tax compliance software such as Oracle EPM/TRCS and CorpTax is an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • A team player and able to influence cross functional groups to achieve success

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.Compensation$90,000—$100,000 USD
