Reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax Accounting. Responsible for the preparation and filing of federal, state and international tax documents. Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and year-end provision calculations for both US and international subsidiaries. Assist in developing tax strategies and policies to maintain compliance with local, federal and international laws. Responsible for US sales tax and other related country specific filings. Provides month end support to general accounting.

Snapshot of Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and gather data used in the company’s federal, state and international compliance for domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Prepare the quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations.
  • Support tax process improvement efforts.
  • Support in transfer pricing issues and special projects.
  • Support, as needed, tax impact of M&A activity.
  • Prepare and gather data regarding the U.S. R&D Tax Credit calculation, Canadian SRED calculation and UK R&D Tax Credit.
  • Prepare the U.S. UNICAP calculation.
  • Using sales tax software, responsible for sales tax filings and customer exemptions tracking.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax memos and documentation.
  • Assist in tax audits.
  • Assist in tax research as necessary.
  • Provide support to general accounting for month end close.
  • Ad hoc analyses and duties as required.

What You bring:

  • 4 year College Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years experience in tax preparation/tax accounting
  • Knowledge of US GAAP standard ASC740, Accounting for Income Taxes
  • Knowledge of US Tax Laws and related regulations including, but not limited to, Section 162(m), Section 263A
  • Ability to create and use Spreadsheets Excel is essential.
  • Experience with Avalara software is preferred.
  • Ability to work with other groups within the organization.
  • Ability to multitask
The base salary range for this full-time position is $62,000 - $107,000 USD. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position, based on our defined salary pay ranges. Our ranges are broad to account for differences in roles, performance, experience, skillsets, education and business needs and individual pay is determined by a variety of factors.
