The Position Arkatechture is seeking candidates for a Systems Operations Administrator position to support the Arkalytics platform. We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about cloud computing, operating systems, databases and data overall and excited to work on new and emerging systems and technologies. Responsible for all system administration tasks related to systems used in our Arkalytics platform. Should be able to work efficiently with the Business and Technology teams. Some systems this admin would be responsible for would be Tableau, PowerBI, OpenVPN, Jenkins, Bitbucket and Snowflake. May have some AWS responsibilities as assigned as well. The admin would directly report to the Infrastructure Lead, Arkalytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Key contributor on the Arkalytics Service Delivery/Production Support team
• Part of the On Call rotation, providing support to key aspects of the platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues which may require admin privileges and knowledge
• Incident Management and resolution
• Basic operational administration (setting up of permissions, folders, RBAC, policies etc) of all assigned Arkalytics systems (internal and client facing)
• Maintenance of operational systems such as patch management and system updates
• Using existing CI/CD and change management procedures for deploying Arkalytics content to production
• Work with Infrastructure Lead on Disaster recovery plan and test execution and improvements if any
• Periodically conduct documented reviews of release notes for accountable systems and implement any new features for all accounts/systems 
• Contribute to best practices that can be followed by the Infrastructure team
• Manage and contribute to Admin documentation for Arkalytics
• User provisioning (offboarding, onboarding, role changes) following Arkalytics policies
• Responsible for system audits with CTO, ISO, Infrastructure Lead and SOC2 auditors
• Responsible for preparation of penetration tests
• Develop automation of manual system administration processes where possible
• Proactive monitoring of Billing, credits and storage used to manage costs
• Part of Information security team responsible for Arkalytics platform security
• Ensure security controls are in place at all times
• Backup and recovery adhering to SLAs, RPO and RTO
• Performance tuning of systems
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 3+ years of experience in a similar individual contributor role
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable work experience is acceptable for this position
• Strong experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and administration of such systems
• Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or another BI Tool is a must
• Experience with cloud computing preferably AWS is preferred
• Knowledge of Git, Jira, Confluence, Slack in an agile environment is preferred
• Experience working on a service desk in a customer facing support role is preferred
• Experience with systems such as Snowflake, Jenkins, OpenVPN, Bitbucket, and Auth0 is a plus
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is a plus
• Experience with DevOps, CICD & Automation pipelines is a plus
• Tableau Server or PowerBI level Certification or a different tier is preferred
