Systems Engineer II - Remote

MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join the Tech Operations Team! Individual reports to Manager Engineering, Info Tech. Role is remote; must reside in the United States.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Systems Engineer II, you have the mind of an engineer and the soul of a systems administrator. You are the guardian angel of our SaaS environments and enterprise Identity infrastructure. A knight in shining armor for our internal user base, and you have no trouble communicating your take on problems that arise. Enterprise and SaaS administration are in your DNA, and you have the blood test to prove it. (Or maybe just the experience. That works, too.)

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

• Implement automation to make IT processes repeatable, scalable, and secure
• Use API scripting, standalone code, or web hooks across provisioned cloud tools in a SaaS environment
• Maintain cloud-based applications
• Administer API integration, AWS, Okta (or another SSO platform), G Suite, and Office365
• Continue to develop automation for onboarding and offboarding
• Identify opportunities for automation within software processes
• Recommend, provision, configure, document, and help maintain IT backend or SaaS systems
• Install applications and databases relevant to automation
• Take the lead in time sensitive projects.
• Collaborate with other business units to understand how automation can improve their workflow
• Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts for IT systems status
• Perform diagnostics, analysis, and repairs of IT systems as needed
• Assist with managing user accounts across multiple cloud applications
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of corporate network hardware
• Follow existing policies and procedures when assisting employees, to ensure proper handling of requests, making suggestions for improvement when appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3-5 years operational IT enterprise experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• AWS Certificate preferred
• At least 3 Years of experience in IAM Technologies, such as OKTA, Entra
• MCSA or RHEL Certification preferred
• Google Workspace (any level) Certification preferred
• Good knowledge of Security Concepts and Controls ( IAM, Vulnerability Management, Firewalls, etc) 
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Products including Active Directory, Azure, Group Policy, Intune, and Operating System
• Experience with enterprise security products
• Experience using MS Intune and/or JAMF to manage devices deployments
• Experience using APIs to implement automation to make IT processes repeatable, scalable, and secure
• Experience configuring and maintaining SAML connectors on SSO identity providers such as Okta or Google
• Expertise with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with API integration, AWS, Okta (or another SSO platform), and Office365 in an enterprise IT environment
• Strong experience with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Experience with code management (i.e. Github, Bitbucket)
• The ability to define, drive, and deliver complex projects
• Knowledge of network hardware, networking concepts, and peripheral equipment
• The ability to quickly learn and master the systems, networks, hardware, and software you're working with
• Willing to learn and improve processes for scalability and security
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• A professional, self-starter approach, as well as a passion for teamwork
• A love for people that equals your love for technology
• Experience with OKTA and JIRA workflows
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $125,000 - $135,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
