JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is looking for a Systems Administrator to join the Data Operations Team. In this role you will be primary support on both Windows and Linux applications. This position is responsible for configuration changes, upgrades, hotfixes, vulnerability remediation, application monitoring, managing support tickets with vendors, and working with OS admin teams to coordinate patching. Additional experience with deployment automation, installation automation, testing automation, and containerization would be helpful.Specific tools and applications include:
Power BI
Spotfire
Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV)
Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud
Dash Enterprise (Plotly)
Jupyter Hub
Alteryx
Semarchy
Alation
Redshift
This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.
Job Profile Summary
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides guidance/leadership in aligning Infrastructure, automation, and monitoring tools with team/business needs by close collaboration with appropriate SMEs
Manage problems which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem
Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure
Mentor team members during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase the team’s efficiency and knowledge
Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure
Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies
Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where you have been designated a subject matter expert
Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change controls
Collaborate with other IT personnel on technology and support issues
Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on infrastructure
Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience
Work Experience
Experience in the support and function of:
Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems
Windows Server and/or Unix application administration
Containerization technologies
Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques
Automation technologies for installations and upgrades
Automation technologies for application testing
Infrastructure hardware configuration
