Are you the person who is going to fill this role?
The System Administrator I will provide support to the IT customer base and across the company utilizing those tools and technologies developed to aid in such support; support shall include hardware and software. The position will be responsible for the maintenance and ongoing support of both on-premises and cloud-based systems, along with active participation in the research of new technologies that will enhance the experience of our users, reduce cost, and position the company for continued growth.
RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and maintain OS and application patching technologies for workstations.
- Maintain and administrate private and public DNS servers, security, and associated records.
- Follow appropriate change control processes, including proactive communication to impacted user community and associated business processes.
- Review and analyze device logs, taking appropriate action in a proactive approach.
- Configure network devices related to user and device connectivity.
- Research, document and maintain cloud-services by providers such as: Azure, AWS, GCP, M365, etc…
- Administrate workstation automation & EDR services such as InTune, AutoPilot, WSUS, Defender, Sophos, etc..
- Build and maintain account automation scripting and services.
- Administrate M365 licensing services.
- Oversee OnBoarding / Change/ OffBoarding services.
- Execute technology purchases for the organization.
- Document and maintain file systems and associated security.
- Provide support for issues relating to workstation, network, and server hardware and software, engaging 3rd party resources as appropriate.
- Member of on-call rotation for afterhours support and escalation point for 3rd party services; including monitoring of system alerts in support of proactive services.
- Member of IT Team which provides immediate services to IT customers, including documentation of customer support.
- Provide A/V support and change control of conference rooms, meetings, and video editing services.
- Oversee asset management for IT Department
- Travel to conferences and Block Imaging facilities
- Provide insight and expertise in IT meetings with suggestions and advice.
- Mentor and coach members of the Help Desk / Technician team.
- Advise and perform other duties as assigned
- Responsible for his/her own safety and environmental behavior. Ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed and take necessary steps that prevent incidents in his/her areas.
- Promote and adhere to ITIL methodologies related to the intake, on-boarding, and long-term lifecycle support of IT services
- Maintain SOPs/WIs related to workstation administration and process flow, along with documentation and maintenance of those associated systems.
- Follow standardized processes related to the activities of systems administration.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders in the delivery of IT Services both virtually and in-person as required.
- Provider external department communications to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or better (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience working in Microsoft server environment
- 1-2 years of experience working in cloud environments
- 1-2 years of experience working with M365
- 1-2 years working with backup related technologies
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working in an FDA, ISO, & HIPPA regulated environments
- Varied experience with file share services (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft, etc…)
- Global experience related to systems administration and user support
- Utilization of advance environment monitoring and replication support
