Brown & Brown is Seeking a Surety Account Manager to join our growing team.

The Surety Account Manager, on behalf of our customers, acts as their Surety Agent securing the required Surety coverage to meet the customer’s obligations to its obliges. Account Managers develop strong relationships with customers and use their understanding of their businesses to best represent our customers’ needs and present acceptable submissions to the Surety markets.

How You Will Contribute

  • Collect and compile information from customer to prepare submission to Surety Company

  • Execute bonds under POA for Surety Companies

  • Prepare final submission of completed bonds to Surety Companies

  • Verify bond renewals and issue invoices

  • Update and maintain Surety files to ensure ongoing underwriting compliance

  • Use specific personal computer software to update and run account and policy information

  • Review for accuracy all policies, changes/endorsements, audits and other documents

  • Answer customer and carrier questions with day-to-day email, phone, fax and mail requests in areas of policies, endorsements, audits, and accounting/billing, coordination of claims/loss control services

  • Prepare all necessary applications and data for a complete submission to underwriters

  • Address policy change requests by processing endorsements

  • Maintain high retention on existing accounts

  • Increase revenue by cross selling and writing new business

  • Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills and licensing requirements

  • Conduct an appropriate level of confidentiality of information processed

  • Duties are done independently or in a team environment

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent with one (1) year experience in the field of Surety insurance or high school graduate with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, other combination of work and/or education will be considered

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of property and casualty coverage, current legislation, rules, laws, and other regulations.

  • Familiarity with contracts and their provisions.

  • Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel

  • AMS360 experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated ability

Pay Range

$33.65 - $40.87 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
