Job Details

As part of the Data Management Services (DMS) organization, the Master Data Analyst role is primarily responsible for the creation, maintenance, and analysis of master data across defined Strategic Global Sourcing (SGS) systems and business units, including purchase pricing, material and supplier information in the Enterprise Master Data system (eMDM), and the Material and Trade Vendor Masters. The Master Data Analyst role ensures integrity of the material and vendor data based on defined standards and practices and is responsible for the analysis and issue resolution of errors through data quality and exception reporting processes.

Location: Remote

Shift: Night Shift - 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM CST, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Ensures master data setup requests align to established standards and policies.

  • Develops relationships with other functional teams and communicates erroneous data requiring correction.

  • Monitors flow of data between AB Setup, eMDM and SAP for accuracy and completeness.

  • Escalates issues within DMS and Digital Transformation teams as needed.

  • Interacts extensively with other internal departments across Cencora on issue resolution, while providing guidance regarding master data setups.

  • Works with large amounts of data and utilizes multiple systems to research, audit and analyze information.

  • Rapidly detects and corrects master data issues, ensuring root cause of issue has been addressed. Capable of developing reporting tools, processes, and procedures.

  • Research data discrepancies on quality and exception reports for compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Takes corrective action as appropriate.

  • Participates in process improvements and projects, supporting master data initiatives.

  • Cross trained on DMS processes needed for the creation and maintenance of materials, vendors, and pricing in SGS systems.

  • Utilizes and customizes the use of automated tools for mass data updates. 

Education and Work Experience

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires one (1) to two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
