Mutual of Omaha’s Workplace Solutions division is looking for an inspiring Supervisor to lead our Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Underwriting Team. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2025 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily workflows, performance metrics, and ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Make Smart Decisions: Use sound judgment to assess risk, review complex cases, and escalate when necessary.
- Foster Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, policyholders, brokers, and external partners to achieve business goals.
- Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and implement changes that drive performance and customer satisfaction.
- Stay Engaged: Be present and accessible to your team, providing guidance and resolving challenges as they arise.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Leadership Expertise: Proven experience leading teams, holding them accountable, and driving performance in a metrics-driven environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in insurance, with an understanding of underwriting processes, compliance, and risk management.
- Strategic Skills: Strong decision-making, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relationship Builder: Excellent communication skills with a knack for fostering trust and collaboration.
- Proactive Mindset: Adaptable, resilient, and always looking for ways to improve.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
PREFERRED:
- Medical terminology knowledge or experience.
- Familiarity with Agile Release Train methodologies.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.
