Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeing a Supervisor of Coding to support our Inpatient Coders. The Supervisor-Coding oversees day-to-day activities of the coding team. Collaborates with other Revenue Cycle departments to ensure timely coding of discharged accounts and works to resolve claim edits and/or denials. Provides ongoing education to the coding team. Reports any coding concerns to the manager/director and recommends appropriate action.

Position Specifics:
• Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday
• Location: 100% remote, accepting applicants that can work remotely and live in AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, TN, TX, OH, WA, or WI.
• Compensation that aligns with your experience


Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related discipline is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of clinical documentation, coding, revenue cycle or a related experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate’s degree.

Experience Qualifications

  • 3 years of coding experience is required.
  • 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • One of the following is required:
  • Hospital Coding: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
  • Professional/Clinic Coding: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

Pay Range:

$29.55 - $44.32

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
