Summer Internship: Large Language Model (LLM) Data Scientist/AI-Engineer Intern

Education Required:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related fields.

General Description:

BeiGene’s Data Insights (DI) team, a vital part of the Data Science & Digital Innovations (DSDI) group under the Global Statistics and Data Science (GSDS), is seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to contribute to our ongoing Large Language Models (LLM) projects. This role offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge AI technologies to solve real-world problems in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields, enhancing our capabilities in drug development and patient care.

Essential Functions of the job:

• Assist in the development and implementation of Large Language Models (LLM) to support various data analytics projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, gather requirements, and implement LLM solutions.
• Conduct research on the latest LLM technologies and methodologies, suggesting improvements to existing models.
• Participate in the design and execution of experiments to validate models and techniques.
• Prepare and present findings to the team, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Contribute to the development of tools and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our data science efforts

Computer Skills:   

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

• Familiarity with Large Language Model LLM, machine learning, and NLP concepts.
• Experience with cloud computing and high-performance computing environments is preferred.
