Summer Internship - Executive Program Manager

Overview

The intern will assist our executive project management team, which is part of the Transformation Office, in coordinating large, cross-discipline, company-wide projects with high visibility and criticality. These projects can include post-merger integrations, international operations, systems implementations, and other important corporate efforts. The intern will work closely with other project managers to build project plans in Smartsheet, attend meetings with senior executives to record notes and take-away assignments, follow up on those action items, and update the status of project milestones. The intern will manage project artifacts within SharePoint. Candidates should have an interest in transformative corporate projects, including M&A, executive coordination, complex project management, and building trusting relationships between disparate functional business units. We are looking for communications skills, detail-oriented, analytical mindsets with a keen interest in business operations. Responsibilities

  • Work with Cotiviti's Project Managers to help drive critical projects to successful completion.
  • Coordinate across disparate organizations and disciplines with many different owners, tasks, and deliverables from different teams.
  • Provide regular updates on project status.
  • Interact directly with the highest levels of company leadership.
  • Adapt different project management approaches based on the specific project at hand.
  • Quickly summarize project status at an executive level while also maintaining detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate with other interns and project managers on related projects.
  • Remain current in the latest project management development, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Student working towards a higher business degree, technology degree, or healthcare degree; MBA or Masters' program preferred with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong performance in business or management courses and concepts.
  • Deep interest and some experience in project management tools and methodologies.

Mental Requirements:

  • Motivated individual who is a quick learner, intuitive, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Focused and detail-oriented, able to quickly digest large amounts of information.
  • Strong executive presence, willing and able to interact and coordinate directly with senior Executives.
  • Experience working remotely online with distributed teams.
  • Some experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), project management tools, video conferencing, and other standard project tools.
  • Organized and able to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure on multiple simultaneous projects with tight timeframes.
  • Self-driven and able to drive efforts that are constantly changing and always working with new groups and processes.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently solve normal challenges and problems in an office/business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills plus strong written and oral communication capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and in a virtual and distributed team environment.

Working conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Base compensation ranges from $21.00 to $30.00 per hour. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is based remotely, and all interviews will be conducted virtually.

 

Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
