FloSports Digital Marketing Internship - PAID

As a member of FloSports’ Digital Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Intern will contribute to the success of the marketing department by assisting with subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts across multiple sports and across all digital marketing channels. 

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who is eager to learn about digital marketing strategies and campaigns. Success in the role requires someone who is creative, detail oriented and has the ability to perform in a dynamic work environment while collaborating cross-departmentally.

This internship is based in our Austin, Texas, office and is available for Fall 2022, running from early-September through early December. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 20 hrs/week. This is a paid internship offering $15.00/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of digital marketing campaigns around live events, original content, products, and brands to meet or exceed quarterly subscriber acquisition, retention and engagement goals

  • Collaborate on cross-functional digital marketing projects including product marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, content marketing and brand marketing

  • Assist in the creation of assets for digital marketing campaigns across all relevant digital marketing channels (branded and paid social media, email, push notifications, and display advertising)

  • Assist in the management of vertical-level performance marketing budget(s)

  • Test innovative digital marketing tactics such as audience segmentation, A/B testing, personalization and automation to identify new ways to acquire and retain subscribers

  • Assist in analyzing digital marketing campaign performance and effectively reporting to internal stakeholders

  • Attend weekly marketing and cross-departmental meetings to stay current on company goals and departmental initiatives

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related field

  • Ability to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions from data

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects while still working effectively

  • Highly motivated to learn about the world of digital marketing

  • Must be available from early September through early December. 

BONUS POINTS:

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software to execute digital marketing campaigns

  • Experience with Hootsuite or a similar social media management software

  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud or similar photo and video editing tools

  • A general knowledge of and interest in sports
