Job Summary:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a PhD level or graduate student with preferred majors in economics, finance, statistics, or other related fields. This opening is hybrid which has the intern come into the office 2-3 times a week to work with the project manager and team members.

The work schedule is Monday – Friday (40 hour per week). This is a 10-week paid internship. The hourly rate for this position is $26.00-$30.00 per hour depending on the candidate's education.  

What You Will Do: 

The intern will assist on projects with ongoing research in the areas of consumers finance, banking, and the Discount Window. The intern will also support ongoing development and maintenance of financial institution supervisory risk early warning statistical models. The intern’s work will focus on enhancing existing models and tools and provide support towards addressing model validation questions and findings. 

What You Have: 

  • Graduate or PhD level student studying economics, finance, statistics, or other related fields

  • Economics research experience 
     

Required Skills: 

  • Experience with SAS, R, Python, or Stata 

  • Experience using econometrics methodologies

Other Requirement: This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to “Protected Individuals” as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
