The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Cybersecurity Services team:

The RTX Cyber Threat Intelligence team is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Threat Intelligence Intern. The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, planning, coordinating, and executing intelligence analysis operations in order to provide operationally actionable intelligence in support of RTX cyber defenses.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a Cyber Threat Intelligence intern, produce timely threat reporting, and provide support to other functions and teams within Cyber Defense.
  • Work with other team members on ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports focused on geopolitics, threat actors, and technical campaigns.
  • Understand various Cyber Threat Intelligence tooling and be able to continuously learn new technologies.
  • Work closely with RTX stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships between Threat Intelligence and its various customers across the enterprise.
  • Use premium Threat Intelligence tooling to enrich indicators of compromise and pivot to additional adversarial infrastructure and tooling.
  • Work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed.  

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, international affairs, intelligence, or other cyber related fields. Candidates should not graduate prior August 2025. Please submit a copy of your academic transcripts with your application.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to prepare and present reports, briefings, and other materials to RTX senior cyber leadership across the enterprise.
  • Great understanding of threat intelligence lifecycle and be able to provide analytical judgement.
  • Must have a strong ability to manage indicators of compromise and enrich them through premium and open-sourced tooling.
  • The preferred candidate should have a baseline understanding of the threats that target defense industrial firms and experience operationalizing the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and Diamond Model.
  • Candidate should be able to outline threat intelligence processes and provide continuous improvements.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated and initiative driven.

Location: This position is remote.
Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role:
Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
